Becoming a Hockey Official
We are always looking for new officials to join our association
NOTE: the requirements for testing, and on-line modules have been suspended for the 24-25 season, but those requirements will return in 25-26 with a new on-line platform.
To be eligible to work games for the Peninsula Hockey Officials' Association, you must first complete all of the registration steps with USA Hockey. These include
Registering with USA Hockey for the appropriate level (first year as level 1, then progressing through the levels each year to level 3 or 4)
Taking an on-line open book test corresponding with your registration level (each level test is progressively longer and more difficult) (This requirement has been suspended for the 24-25 season)
Attending Appropriate Seminar Training:
All levels, seminars are offered on-line for the 24-25 season
You may attend an online seminar offered by any district and any state in the country, it doesn't have to be in Washington
Completing appropriate on-line training modules (This requirement has been suspended for the 24-25 season)
Complete Safe-Sport Training (for officials 18 and older)
Completing an on-line background check (for officials 18 and older)
All officials MUST register with USA Hockey by 31 October 2024 and you must complete all of the above registration steps by 31 December 2024

Once you have completely registered with USA Hockey send an image of your card and crest to phoaref1@gmail.com to be added to our list.
